Food and drink
At Kinder Croft, exploring how we grow, prepare, and cook our food is an essential part of the children's learning experience. As we move forward, we plan to expand the amount of food grown on-site, allowing children to see firsthand how food transitions from plant bed to plate. Foraging for edible plants and berries, and learning which ones are safe and delicious to eat, also plays an important role in our daily activities. It encourages children to connect with the natural world and fosters a sense of curiosity about the food around them.
Our Food
The meals we provide are predominantly vegetarian. If your child has any food allergies or intolerances, please let us know so we can ensure their dietary needs are met.
Meals and Snacks
We serve a hot meal as well as morning and afternoon snacks on-site, so there is no need to send food with your child. However, a water bottle with your child’s name clearly marked is essential for staying hydrated throughout the day. We kindly ask that the bottle be filled with water rather than juice or milk.
